   I cracked my original lense the very first day I got my iPhone and luckily was able to find this. I removed the old lense by carefully removing a few shards of glass from the middle, heating up the lense with a hairdryer, and very carefully prying it out with a small flat head screwdriver. It takes quite a bit of force, but make sure you don’t scratch the inner camera. I saw the method that uses a razor blade to pry from the edges of the lense, but after a quick try, I seriously doubt I could do that without gouging the back of the phone up as the lense is very tight. I then used a small amount of clear silicone wiped around the edge of the new lense to secure it to the phone. It’s been a few weeks so far and everything is still together and my camera works great. I’m not 100% sure the new lense is sapphire like the original, but it hasn’t scratched or cracked, and for the price it is well worth whatever it is made of. I’m so glad I was able to find a new camera lense quickly and extremely reasonably priced.
