This is the first solution that has worked on our van’s highly textured dash. I was skeptical, but after the recommendation of a friend, I gave it a go. Nothing else had worked, so other than a little money, what did I have to lose?

I cleaned the dash with an alcohol wipe and applied the sticky gel pad and suctioned it on. Man, that is a strong grip! I was able to adjust the extension arm and angle it just right for where I need it and, even better, able to securely lock it down so it didn’t move, even on the very bumpy dirt road we had to use repeatedly while on vacation. It’s on there TIGHT!

It doesn’t squeak or rattle, even on that bumpy road. I’ve only tightened it once since I installed it about a month ago, but that was just to make sure it hadn’t worked itself loose after the initial install.

I use it with a Samsung Galaxy S5 with a small case on it and it works great and should fit even if I go for a phablet next time I upgrade my phone. It’s easy to get the phone in and out and fits securely without crushing.

I would definitely recommend this product, or any iOttie products. They had a representative actually call me to make sure I was happy with my product and see if I had any questions. That’s a nice touch! Makes me feel confident that if I did have any issues, I’d be able to get it resolved. But it comes down to the product working well for its intended use and boy, this one does! I can’t believe it actually suctioned to my super textured dash!

Beware of this product; they have used overly strong glue on the rubber cup that is used to attach to your dashboard. The glue was so strong that it ripped the leather covering off the dashboard of my Lexus. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON YOUR DASHBOARD IT RUINED MY DASHBOARD AND WILL RUIN YOURS. See photo.

BE CAREFUL! Bought this and regrettably stuck it on the dash of my brand new car (the day after I bought it!). Immediately I felt it looked too bulky and wanted to mount my phone a little less “in your face”. The oily residue from the sticky attachment left a very visible circle on the dash. I’ve tried a few products to remove it and nothing works. So now more than a month later I see it every day and am reminded of the mistake I made. Should have gone with the windshield glass instead.

UPDATE: One year later and the mark left from only having this on for 10 mins is still there. I look at that spot every day and regret buying this product.
