I am a sucker for well made products and do not mind paying for that quality. There are cheaper cables that can do what this one dies . . . For a while, anyway. THIS one will outlast them all. The 10′ length is a big plus. You will be happy not to be crammed against a wall with a shorter cable while using you devise. I ordered the black cable. Consistent color and weave all along the cable. This cable has a larger diameter than any others I have seen. It does not roll up into a small coil. It has similar characteristics of a typical lamp cord but about half that diameter. The only real drawback I can see is the size of the plug at the phone/iPad end; some covers or cases might be too tight for this plug. But I love the size and strength of this cable! Highly recommended. Fast shipping, too.

Yup, this is the one. The 3 footer from Apple failed at the 8 pin connection collar – the $39.95 10 footer from the Apple Store fail at the same location after 5 months. This one (Cambond) is excellent. The body of the wire is thicker with a fabric woven outer shell over a thick rubber/plastic coating. The collar (where wire connect to pin and USB is also bigger. The length will wind-up nicely for storage but it is thick enough to resist sharp bending at the collar. Which is what breaks on the other charger wires. Needing two and buying them at the same time saves you money. I get one, college son gets one 👍🏼👍🏼 19.99 for one, 34.00 for two. Nice!
