The reviews for this were right on – this seems like a better quality unit. I love how this works – easy to put the phone in and remove with one hand. I even set it up upside down so the phone would be lower. The only thing is that the unit does shake a little more than I would like driving down the road but it is acceptable. No regrets – great unit!

I have tried a number of these CD phone mounts and first off let me say that in my Honda Ridgeline it’s a little difficult to install this, it takes a lot of force to get it into the slot but eventually it does fit securely.

This mount uses a thumbscrew to tighten it and lock it into place inside your cd tray. The thumb screw method works well but leaves it a little unappealing in terms of appearance. Now it DOES work and it works well so I give it 5 out of 5 stars because I had zero issues with it. The holder held my iPhone 6 in an otterbox case perfectly and it held my new Moto X Pure. Because of button placement on the phone I had to raise it up a little bit so it wasn’t perfectly centered otherwise the buttons were pressed in, but the holder still worked perfectly and adapted as needed.

I had been looking for a car mount to withstand my huge iPhone 6 Plus. After searching through many products, I decided on the Ipow CD slot car mount. It is perfect!!!!! My favorite part is that it holds the bottom of the phone with an adjustable shelf. The sides are padded and adjustable as well. To release the phone, you just press a button on the back that opens up the 2 side panels. It fits very securely in my CD slot and it swivels in both directions.
I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!!!!
