The design of the mount is very straightforward. You can figure out how to use this mount on your car air vent within seconds. It has following pros:
1. Very small and light. It is convenient to carry it around.
2. Easy to attach to the air vent, and easy to take off.
3. Very firm
4. Can hold your phone in horizontal or vertical direction
I cannot think of any cons, because it is really a very simple device that actually doesn’t have many functions. It just can hold a phone on the air vent.

I have a Chevy Malibu 2003 car and mounted it at the central air vent shutter. To prevent the weight of the mount and phone to flip over my air vent shutter (sorry, my car cannot lock the angle of an air vent), I stick the mount to the most bottom shutter. It works well on my Malibu.

I am not worried about if the phone will fall off or slide. The holder has a strong spring with it to lock the phone with friction. This mount works for my Samsung S6 phone when I put it directly to the mount. And I can tell it will also work well with a phone in a case. But it will not work with a phone in a wallet case.
I attached photos to show how this mount works with my phone. To evaluate this mount, I would say if you are just expecting a very versatile car mount, there are other choices. But this product excels at its mini size, which is easy to take off, tuck away and store in car drawers when you don’t need it on the dashboard. And it will make a very convenient choice if you like to travel often. You can put this in your luggage (which takes very little space), carry it around the world, and use it in the rented cars. And its price is also very reasonable compared to what it can offer.

I did not expect much from this phone holder. After all how strong can an air vent mount be? I was pleasantly surprised when I received the item. I expected it to be flimsy and not hold the weight of the phone since it does not have a little foot support at the bottom like other phone mounts.
The springs were actually quite strong. I have an LG V10 and it holds it up without issues, even when I unintentional hit one of those awful potholes that the city seem to never fix.
You can rotate it but it is probably better for the longevity of your air vent fin to just pull it off the vent, rotate it to your desired position, and put it back on.
I like this product a lot, however, there are a few concerns. As I mentioned, I’m concerned that my air vent will break if I try to rotate it while it’s installed. The other concern for me is that the phone blocks most, if not all, of the vent. If you have a vent that you can close manually then this might not be too much of a concern. As it is winter right now in the north east and I need to have the heat on, I worry that the constant heat directed towards my phone will cause my phone to overheat and shut off. I have had samsung phones and iPhones that got really really hot to the touch on its own, mind you.

Overall, this is quality product. It’s well made, durable, strong springs to hold your phone on and is very sleek. Other than the issues I have mentioned about the phone heating up when using the heater, I would still recommend this car mount.

Let me start by describing how this device holds your phone. If you have ever had a selfie stick it’s basically the same device. It is a spring mechanism that allows you to open up the mount and stick your phone in. This part of the device is great! It holds my phone perfectly (I have a Samsung Galaxy S4). I am not afraid of the device itself breaking and dropping my phone. The only part I am not a big fan of is the back (the part that holds on to your air vent in the car. The back is a rubber material with 4 slits that let you slip it on your vent. I have had the whole device fall 2 times. Granted I do live in Georgia so there are many mountains and tons of curves. I found a way to balance my phone on part of my dash so it gives it more support. Now I have not had any problems with it falling. I was worried about it fitting on my vents because I drive a Honda crZ (a tiny hatchback hybrid). The vents are very slanted and skinny but it does fit. As you can see in the picture! I did drop a star because the advertisement picture is not the same as the actual product. On the picture it shows a silver piece on the left. However, in reality it is a matte black. I personally think it looks better but some people might want the silver because it might match their car better. I personally use this car mount to plug my phone up for Pandora so I can switch songs easily.
To summarize: For the price I think it is a great product, it just does not look like the picture.

I received this product at a discount for my honest, unbiased opinion.

UPDATE: They have changed the advertisement picture to the way the product actually looks!!
